TwoPointO : Shankar is Way ahead of Us!

If you’ve seen Sivaji the Boss, you’d easily relate. In a particular song, Rajini says “Koovum cell phonenin
Nacharippai anaithu
Konjam sil vandin ucharippai ketpom“.

(Let’s switch off our cellphone and listen to the sound of a bug)

Shankar takes us into the plot, without any delay with a screenplay that’s lightning fast. He never lets us take our eyes off the picture even for a minute or so. As a director, he has won, yet again.

As many of us would have probably guessed from the teaser and the trailer, Akshay who plays the Birdman is probably a guy who lost something because of the extreme usage of mobile phones, and is up for revenge. Why is he angry on Mobiles though?

With the second half being solely dedicated for the core of the story, there is not a single scene where you’d stare at your phone rather than at the screen.

Being a Science Fiction film and to target all types of audience is no cake walk, but Shankar pulls it off with ease. From Particle Physics to Artificial Intelligence, nobody has kept it this simple, yet engaging ever.

After a series of Non Performing Films for Superstar Rajinikanth, we can finally say “Thalaivar is Back with a Bang!” (I personally Loved Kaala and Kabali, but that’s a completely different issue) If you didn’t know who Rajini was and someone told you he’s 67, you’d probably never believe. Of course there’s makeup that makes him look young, but makeup can’t make you feel younger. With the type of energy he brings into every character, he’s still 30 at heart!

AR Rahman kicks up the scene to a different level with his music. He’s a genius, and he tells us why he’s the best, through his music!

I’m not gonna go in detail about the story of the film. You probably would have guessed something after watching the Teaser itself. Watch the film and see your prediction go wrong!

There are these other members of the cast who don’t play any crucial roles, but they’ve done justice to their parts. Amy Jackson is also impressive with her one liners and movie references.

Even though the dialogues and puns are top notch, the absence of Sujatha is evidently visible at some places. Also, there is no Lip Sync when other actors are giving out their dialogues in Hindi and the voice over is in Tamil. But these are small glitches that can be overlooked, ain’t they?

If you are an ardent movie fan, you’ll most probably watch this film in theatre. Dear Rajini hater, this is for you. Your hatred for Rajini might prevent you from watching the biggest film ever made in Tamil Cinema, and if you still say “Tamilrockers only”, the loss is yours.

Don’t trust me, or anyone giving out positive reviews about the film. Watch it for yourself and decide, how we speak only the truth.

With Shankar not only captivating us with grand visuals and special effects, he is also giving us a message, which is “The World is not only for Humans”.

Kudos to the whole team for their effort and hardwork in giving us this EPIC. This movie will be celebrated for years to come.

  1. Review justified without any likes and dislikes to anyone. Surely we will watch in theatres. Industry should grow. Lakhs of people’s work behind every movie is there. Especially while 2.0 is taken to world level with glory in 5 languages, we must proudly watch on theatre as an Indian.
